Offshore yesterday a good Dolphin bite could be found in 100′-150′ of water on ballyhoo. We also heard of some good catches of Kingfish on the high drop yesterday using thread fins. Speaking of thread fins the beaches are holding acres and acres of bait right now with lots of action to be found. We heard of good catches of Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sharks, Jacks, Tarpon and Kingfish near shore around the bait pods.
Inshore yesterday plenty of Snook action exists at the mouth of the inlet on Pilchards and Thread fins, Capt. Sam Crutchfield caught one yesterday around 40 pounds. We have received plenty of reports from the flats as well with good reports of big Snook in shallow water also on live bait. Plenty of anglers are reporting good catches of Trout on artificials, you should try the Sebile Stick Shad or or the Yo-Zuri Sashimi Pencil.
Have a great day, Donald.
