Well if you didn’t make it out yesterday your probably doomed for about a week. Across the stream: Yesterday fishing was pretty decent. We spoke with Taylor Hanson this morning who fished with Brad Hensick on his 35′ Seahunter yesterday. They had 7 nice yellowfins the two largest in the 80 pound range the rest around 50 pounds. Scott Fawcett on the Boneshaker had several nice fish along the same lines as did V.J. Bell. Close to home the amberjacks controlled the bottom, and the Shaken Not Stirred caught 3 out of 6 sails. Most boats caught several dolphin as well.
Inshore, the redfishing has picked up a notch. There seems to be either some more fish in our area, or the ones that were here are a bit hungrier. The snook fishing on the flats has still been good and they are starting to eat top-water plugs pretty well before dark. Some nice trout are still being caught in 2 feet of water or less.
Our Grand Opening and Shimano Tour Event will be tomorrow Saturday the 18th. Rick Murphy, Geoff Page, and Ed Zyak will be doing seminars outside and we will be having some good deals on Shimano, Costa Del Mar, Sebille, Power-Pro, and Exude. Come by and grab a burger and join us for a good time. The speakers will start around 9 a.m. and go until around 4-5 p.m.
Have a great weekend!
