Well the Ft. Pierce Billfish Derby wrapped up yesterday. Congratulations to the Play Time and Capt. Derin Cobb who took first place. The Play Time had 10 fish, the Floridian had 2nd place with 6 fish, and third was the Cow Poke with 5 fish. Certainly not red hot fishing for a three day tournament, especially given the conditions. It looks like nasty cold weather for a few days but hopefully it will get better for the weekend.
There are still some redfish around. T.J. Keifer caught several nice ones yesterday and saw some magnum sized snook layed up in the shallows. Sam Crutchfield has been catching pretty good numbers of pompano, and another friend reported some really nice sized trout in a deep hole which it’s location remains a hidden secret.
Have a great week!
