Good morning,
Despite the bad weather yesterday four boats fished the Fort Pierce Billfish Derby. All the boats managed to catch at least a few sails, with the Playtime winning the day with six. The fishing took place up north of Sebastian, but the fish have moved further south over the night and they are fishing a little closer to home today. The fishing sounds as good today as it did yesterday, but we’ll see how the afternoon plays out.
Pompano have been the talk of the inshore anglers. They are scattered up and down the beach as well as up and down the river. The beach south of the inlet has been the most productive. Sand fleas are choice for bait although a yellow bucktail type jig has been working really well.
Have a great weekend,
Geoff
