Good morning,
Well yesterday started the first day of the Finest Kind "Quickie" tournament. The Big "Oh" was in first place with 6 sails, and the Old Floridian now owned by Tony Huerta was in second with four sails. They had 7 or 8 fish in the spread at one time and ended up hooking four for a nice quad. It looks like better weather for today and even nicer through the end of the week. We are going to give the wahoos a try on Friday so I’ll keep you posted.
Inshore snook and flounder are the hot items. Snook are still being hammered in the inlet and bridges at night. Kadri Benton caught some studs night before last, the smallest was 36 inches and the biggest in the mid 40’s". The trout are in deeper water and some sizable ones have been caught upward of eight pounds so far this week. I haven’t heard much about pompano up our way, but I know they are catching them in Jensen Beach.
Have a great day!
