Good morning,
A few people that made it out yesterday were rewarded with pretty good fishing. There were some sails caught and a hot dolphin bite as well. There were several dolphin caught in the mid twenties and plenty of smaller ones mixed in. It sounds like we should have great fishing throughout the holiday weekend, and calm seas. This all makes perfect sense due to the fact I will be out of town all weekend.
Inshore, has started to slow a bit and is entering it’s winter cycle. The water has cooled quite a bit and has been in the 60’s. There are still plenty of fish around but tactics will need to change to be successful. Slow down and fish deeper. During the middle of the day fish will move shallower and try and soak up some sun, but early and late they will be found in deeper cuts and holes. There have been some more nice trout caught along Indian River Drive and in front of Bear Point.
The flounder fishing has started to get right and pompanos are moving in!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, and good fishing!
