Good morning,
All is quiet on the offshore scene. I think the wind has kept most at bay the last few days. It looks like Friday and Saturday will be the days to go. We will have a front coming through late Saturday with strong North winds. The wahoo fishing should be beyond good with the full moon and strong tide coming off of the bank. Sailfishing was really good last week and I would expect it to even better this weekend.
Inshore, the snook fishing continues to be red hot. Guys pulling plugs in both the inlet and bridges have been producing plenty of fish. Feather chunkers have been doing well in the inlet, and live baiters have been catching plenty around the turning basin and bridges. A surprise to me was the great catches of redfish the last few days. A few people I spoke with had great redfishing action to the North. T.J. Keifer caught over a dozen a couple of days ago and another customer had seven on Tuesday. There have been a few pompano showing up to the South but i haven’t heard of anyone crushing them yet.
We have plenty of new Islanders and dredges in for those of you getting your sailfish arsenals ready!
Have a great day!!!!
