Good morning,
It looks like it's going to be a little bumpy this weekend. We are supposed to get a 10-15 knot North East wind starting today and blowing through the weekend. It should be fish-able for those of you who don't mind a little salt on the old face piece. Hopefully it will start our annual push of sails into the area.
On the bright side, inshore fishing is busting loose! We went last night and fished up North amongst acres of finger mullet. We ended up with around 15-20 snook, one over-sized redfish, trout, and jumped off a tarpon. This is my absolute favorite time of year to fish inshore. It is pretty much a no brainer when the mullet get thick like they are now. Find the heaviest concentration of finger to 8" mullet and match the hatch. Rip-Tide swim tails are working well on a 1/4 oz. jig head as are Sebille plugs in Orange, Green, or Black and Gold. Don't be afraid to erratically work a lure with all the bait present predator fish will single out the slow and injured.
Have a great weekend, below are a couple of pictures from last night (breaking in the new skiff).
