Good morning,
Things are looking up. The New Smyrna Sailfish Tournament kicks off this weekend and it sounds like there are decent numbers of sails up there. Good new for us because they are heading our way. Locally I heard of some great bottom fishing and deep dropping. The Hog Wild had some nice groupers yesterday and some stout tilefish. Some other guys had several decent dolphin and there are some sails here.
Inshore, the mullet are running. There are finger mullet piling through our area and snook, tarpon, reds, and trout eating them up. We are going to give it a go after work so I’ll keep you posted. There are plenty of large snook in the turning basin and in the inlet although getting a slot fish remains difficult. Redfish have been from North bridge all the way to Wabasso and a few are still roaming around Indian River Drive. There is an inshore tournament Saturday out of Squid Lips in Sebastian if anyone is interested.
Have a great day!
