Good morning,
I don’t have much to report since the weekend. I do know there is still a great deal of bait on both the North and South Beach for those who wish to fill up a live well. I have heard reports of a few more tarpon starting to show up on the beach from North of St. Lucie inlet to the Vero Cove. This month the tarpon fishing should get better and better with more fish pushing through. If the bait stays how it is now, we should continue to have good king fishing and tarpon fishing throughout the summer. We are fishing the Citrus Tournament tomorrow so we will have a better offshore report Thursday.
Inshore fishing has been strong. There were some nice redfish, snook, and trout caught in the Treasure Coast Flats Tournament. It sounds like most people that fished it saw or caught plenty of fish. We have had pretty extreme low tides all week so don’t get stuck on the flats. Try concentrating on the deepest pot holes on the falling tide. Most all the fish on the big flats will head for the deepest holes when the tide falls when we have these heavy tides.
That’s all for now, have a good one!
