Good morning,
I am starting to feel like a broken record. "It is still windy and no one has been offshore". It looks like the weekend could be doable for those who don’t mind a little spray in the face. Sunday is calling for 3-4′ so it should be fish-able.
Inshore seemed a little slower yesterday than earlier in the week. It started off pretty nice yesterday morning but by early afternoon the North wind blew out most of the flats we had been fishing. There are still large schools of redfish lurking and some nice trout in the potholes at low tide. We hooked a LARGE snook yesterday that we almost couldn’t keep up with on the trolling motor. Unfortunately he pulled the hook after a short battle. There have been large schools of mullet on most of the local flats. Look for the redfish to be tucked in with the mullet, feeding on what they kick up. I heard there are still some nice flounder being caught off of the jetty which means they should be around the inlet docks as well.
Have a great day!
