Good morning,
Did you ever just have one of those days? You know, when you scour the ocean for hundreds of miles looking for anything to bend a rod or pop and outrigger clip? We went across yesterday and did just that. I’ll blame it on the full moon. We fished a few flocks of birds early in the a.m. that were way up high and never saw a fish bust. Long day! I did hear of one boat that caught several dolphin. Some more guys were going across today so hopefully they will have a little better luck. The Floridian went at the end of last week and caught 2 blues, a pile of dolphin, and 15 tunas to eighty pounds, so the fish are there. It sounds like it shut down here yesterday as well. The "Twenty" had a handful of small dolphin and one sail bite, and most everyone else I talked to was begging for a bite. Hopefully the dark of the moon will bring a good bite.
Inshore fishing is still steady. I spoke with a few guys that fished this weekend and all had great days. There were plenty of top slot redfish caught and some healthy flats snook as well. It looks like we will have a bit of Northerly wind starting around Tuesday so try and get out the next day or so if you can.
Have a nice day!
