Good afternoon,
Sorry the report is a little late today. The offshore fishing has been good. A few boats made it out the last few days and the dolphin are still on our door step. There were some nice fish caught yesterday up to thirty five pounds. Ballyhoo and sea witch combos have been the ticket. There were some nice mangroves caught on the bar yesterday as well. Most of the fish were between four and nine pounds. All in all it should be a great weekend offshore. Don’t let the marine forecast fool you, it is just a ground swell with great fishing conditions.
Inshore fishing is still excellent. I talked to Monte Peters and Tony Vercillo early this morning and thy had two 27" redfish in their well already. They are fishing the inshore tournament in Vero. Tony and I caught some nice fish yesterday morning as well. We had a couple of nice snook up to 30" and a pair of over sized reds. Jerk baits are still the weapon of choice.
We are tuna fishing tomorrow so I will post a report Monday morning. Have a great rest of the weekend!
