Good morning,
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I still do not have an offshore fishing report. I’m sure a few people made it out this weekend but unfortunately I haven’t heard anything back.
I do have a good inshore report however. Moon Crossman and Devin Silas fished yesterday and had a great day throwing Berkley Gulp 4" shads. They caught around a dozen snook, the largest was 30 inches. They also caught several nice trout. From what I could gather they were North of the Bridges all day. I spoke with Shawn Ninesling this morning and he also had a great Easter throwing top water plugs to the South of the Bridges. Shawn also reported about a dozen snook from 12-33 inches and a few nice trout up to seven pounds. He also reported losing the biggest snook of his life on top water, which he estimated at over 35 #’s. The big ones always get away! The best top water baits were Mirror lure She dogs in yellow and gold, and a blue backed Skitter Walk.
Looks like another rough week for offshore fishing but the river is going to be good. We have a little cold front coming through today and two cool nights to follow. Welcome to Spring!
Have a great day!
