Good morning,
Well the Quicky started yesterday and there was a little over 20 sails released. I have been listening to the vhf this morning and it sounds like they are catching them pretty decent. So the short story, things are looking up. It sounds like there were a lot of dolphin (some decent sized ones) caught yesterday as well, which is certainly not something you want in a sailfish tournament, but good for fun fisherman this week. We are going to try and run to the other side and wahoo fish tomorrow so I will post a report Friday.
I heard of some over sized snook being caught at both bridges yesterday, and one customer reported catching two over 32" on the flats. The trout fishing has been good on the flats between little mud and the power plant, and there were some pompano caught in that same area as well. I heard of a few more nice flounder that were gigged night before last and a few more that were caught on the flats.
Hope everyone has a good day, the weather is beautiful so try and get out there and stretch a line!
