Good morning,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. The offshore fishing was pretty good this weekend. There was a decent showing of sailfish and with this front pushing through tomorrow it should get even better. We fished yesterday and caught two out of four sails and about a dozen dolphin. V.J. Bell caught 5 sails out of Stuart yesterday and a lot of people reported singles yesterday. There is a lot of bait on the beach (sardines, greenies, runners, etc.) and the spanish, bluefish, and kings are from the beach out to 40′.
Inshore fishing remains good as well. The water has cleared and is getting that green wintry look. Flounder remain the hot topic with nice stringers being caught. There have been a lot of pompano on the beach and moving into the river over the last week or so. We have still been getting good snook reports from both the bridges and the inlet. Monte Peters reported catching 9 nice redfish along with some snook and nice trout on Friday.
Looks favorable for good fishing this week, so get out there and give it a go!
