Good morning,
If you are reading this this morning you are missing out on a hell of a nice day outside (like me!). Yesterday the offshore trolling scene slowed a bit compared to the rest of the week. There were a few more dolphin captured but not as many as the beginning of the week. There is a LOT of toothy angry fish on the reef out to about 140’, so keep some wire rigs handy. I would avoid the reef as well due to an abundance of teaser wrecking sharks! There are still good amounts of wahoos in the 130-190′ area and we should have great conditions all weekend to give them a go. Sailfishing remains the same. Lucky anglers might find a pod or two but most are scattered ones and two’s.
Inshore we heard of a few more nice snook (in the slot) captured the last two days, as well as some over sized slobs being released. There were a few tremendous stringers of flounder caught near the inlet as well yesterday with some in the 7# range. I think this next cold front next week should cool the water just enough to push some more pompanos our way.
All in all the fishing has been pretty darn good this week and I expect the weekend will be as well.
Remember we will be open on Saturdays again starting this weekend from 9-3:00 p.m. so come by and see us if you are not fishing. We have some really nice small ballyhoo in and four more cases coming this afternoon.
Have a great weekend,
-Scott
