With rough conditions taking over for the next week or so, inshore activities are your best bet. There are still mullet around inside, with Snook, Seatrout, baby Tarpon, Jack Crevalle, and some Redfish all getting in on the activity. Look for mullet schools in coves or canals and you’re sure to find action, with NLBN Mullet, DOA Bait Busters, and topwater plugs all successful. Seatrout have continued to be caught around the spoil islands, on both live bait and soft plastics. Snook fishing in the turning basin at night has also been good on jigs and live mullet. Those that have been able to get outside have caught Dolphin and scattered Sailfish in the 120′ range. Snook fishing in the inlets at night has been good on live mullet and jigs, while Redfish have been active at night and during the day. Good luck out there.
