The calm, warm conditions have led to some good fishing in the Indian River, with Snook of all sizes leading the way. There’s plenty of activity to be had along the shorelines with juvenile Snook and larger specimens on the flats. Redfish numbers have been slightly better, with most anglers getting at least a few shots per trip, and there are still some Seatrout around the spoil islands and on the flats here and there. Soft plastics such as the NLBN Mini Mullet and the DOA CAL paddle tails have worked the best. Surf fishing has been pretty slow, with a few Pompano around, along with some Jack Crevalle and an occasional Snook. Spanish Mackerel have been nearshore, but mostly out of range from the shore. Offshore fishing has been good, with Dolphin and some Sailfish in the 200′ range, and some Wahoo to the south as well. Snook fishing in the inlets has been pretty good, particularly Sebastian, with live shrimp working well, as well as flare jigs. Good luck out there.
