Good morning everyone. It looks like a swell from Hurricane Sam will impact some of our fishing by the weekend, so if you can get out before then the options are greater. Offshore, decent sized Dolphin are being caught mostly on live bait north towards Bethel Shoals in 120′ of water. The Kingfish bite in 60′ to 80′ of water has also been quite good, mostly on smaller fish, and Mangrove Snapper fishing in the same depth has been productive both day and evening. In the surf, finger mullet continue to move down the beaches, with Bluefish, Snook, and the occasional Tarpon thinning their numbers. DOA Bait Busters, Hogy and No Live Bait Needed 5″ Paddle Tails, and Yo-Zuri twitch baits have all been productive. Pompano anglers are starting to catch a few, mostly shorts, but it’s getting a bit better by the week. Snook fishing in the inlets and bridges has been good, but mostly on live bait due to warmer water temps and an abundance of bait. Inshore, Snook continue to be the star with some quality fish being caught around docks and deeper shorelines on mullet and similar looking artificials, such as Bait Busters. Seatrout numbers seem to be picking up as well with the cooler morning temps, mostly along drop offs with some current flow, mostly on shrimp. Good luck out there.
