Good morning everyone. Snook season is now open, and early results have been quite good. Fort Pierce Inlet and the interior bridges yielded good catches. mostly on live bait such as croakers. Offshore, Mangrove Snapper fishing has been very good in the 60′ to 80′ range, and boats have been catching good numbers of Dolphin in 80′ to 100′ of water, and Sailfish in close, 50′ to 60′ of water mostly on live baits. Surf conditions have improved greatly, with calm conditions and much of the weed disappearing. Snook, Ladyfish, Spanish Mackerel, and a few Tarpon have been caught along the beaches of late. Find the bait, you’ll find the fish. Inshore, Snook catches have been solid, and a few more Redfish have been caught of late, mostly north of Vero. Soft plastics continue to be the go to bait. Good luck out there.
