Good morning everyone. The cold is definitely here, helping some fisheries. In the surf, Bluefish have been consistently taking spoons and jigs, with some Spanish Mackerel and Jack Crevalle mixed in here and there as well. Pompano have been pretty hit and miss, with a few good days being had from north of Ft. Pierce Inlet to South Beach, mostly on sand fleas and Fish Bites. In the Indian River, Redfish continue to be found in the shallows and on shorelines, taking soft plastics, twitch baits, and live shrimp. Snook have been lethargic due to the colder temps, but Seatrout can still be found around the spoil islands and on the flats. Pompano are still being caught in the river as well, in areas near both inlets, on mostly goofy jigs. The inlets have been productive as well, with Sebastian yielding plenty of Redfish and some Snook on flare jigs, as well as some Black Drum on live shrimp, and Fort Pierce producing Snook on incoming water on live bait. The bridges of Fort Pierce have also been productive for Black Drum on crabs and shrimp. Offshore has been a bit tough with the recent winds, but fair numbers of Sailfish have been caught as of late. Good luck out there.
