Good morning everyone. Spanish Mackerel have been the best bet for those fishing from the beach and nearshore, with some sizeable schools in the area. Spoons, jigs, and metals are all doing damage, and will also work for the Bluefish in the area, and a trace of wire will keep you from losing a lot of tackle. Pompano fishing continues to be hit or miss in most areas, but Jaycee Park in Fort Pierce has been producing fish on clams, sand fleas, and Fish Bites. The Indian River continues to be exceptionally clear, and fishing has continued to be solid. Seatrout continue to provide plenty of activity for anglers fishing along spoil islands, mangrove shorelines, and docks using soft plastics and live shrimp, and some larger specimens are available for those sight fishing the flats. Redfish numbers are solid, with areas like Hole In The Wall, Round Island, and around the power plant producing fish on soft plastics and spoons. Snook are also around, although the coming lower temps may make them lethargic. Offshore has been fairly quiet, with a few Sailfish and Dolphin caught here and there, but not much else. Fort Pierce Inlet has had some Tarpon activity in the evenings on outgoing tide and a few Snook on flare jigs as well. There have also been good numbers of Flounder caught from the south jetty on live bait as well. Good luck out there.
