Good morning everyone. Snook season has come to a close, but for those practicing catch and release there have been some nice fish on the flats, though the cold weather coming Friday may push them deeper. Redfish have also been active, caught mostly on soft plastics along shorelines and on the flats. Seatrout have also been prolific, with some larger fish being caught on the flats and drop offs, on soft plastics and twitch baits. Pompano have continued to be caught sporadically around the Wabasso Causeway. Offshore, Sailfish have been caught mostly to the north off Vero, and Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna have been mixed in from 100′ to 150′ of water on bait schools. Snapper fishing has also been quite productive as well. Snook fishing in the inlets has been a bit off ( season is closed ), but Snapper fishing along the bridges has been productive. In the surf, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and Jack Crevalle have all been fairly active, mostly on spoons and jigs. Pompano fishing remains slow, but hopefully the cooler weather at the end of the week pushes some into our area. Good luck out there.
