Good morning everyone. The weather of late has been less than perfect, but those willing to take what’s there have had success. With the rain and bigger tides, culverts and relief canals have been flowing, providing opportunities for Snook, baby Tarpon, and the occasional Redfish or Seatrout. Smaller soft plastics or plugs have been most effective, matching the bait coming out. Sight fishing has been near impossible in these conditions, but those who have worked the shorelines in the Round Island to Harbor Branch area have been rewarded with Redfish of late. With offshore and surf fishing being pretty much a blowout, the inlets and bridges have been the only other options, with good Snook activity to go along with Tarpon action for those braving the blustery conditions, mostly on flare jigs and live bait. Good luck out there!
