Good morning all, hope you’re all staying safe and hopefully hitting the water a bit. The Indian River has remained remarkably clear for this time of year, making sight fishing opportunities more abundant, but at the same time making it a bit harder to fool them. Good numbers of Redfish are around, both on shorelines and on the flats, taking soft plastics and live bait. Some of the bigger Snook have continued to head towards the beaches, but there are still plenty of quality fish around on the flats. Seatrout numbers are also holding up well, on the flats and docks, taking a variety of things such as soft plastics and even topwater plugs. Snook fishing in the surf was heating up before the east winds made that difficult, but once things die down a bit that should resume, along with the large Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, and Bluefish that have been prevalent. Offshore has been pretty much unfishable of late, and won’t calm down for days. Fort Pierce Inlet has been good for Snook and large Jack Crevalle, with an abundance of Pilchards around, with higher tide being best. Have fun out there.
