I hope all of you are fairing well in these crazy times. The good news is that with the nicer, warmer weather we are experiencing, there are plenty of opportunities to get out of the house and enjoy some social distancing in the great outdoors. Surf fishing for Pompano, Whiting, Spanish Mackerel, and other species has picked up with the calmer, cleaner water. Clams, sand fleas, and Fish Bites seem to be producing well for the Pompano and Whiting, while spoons and jigs are catching the lions share of Spanish. Offshore, Dolphin and Kingfish have been prevalent, and Snapper fishing the reefs has been really good with the cleaner water. Snook fishing the inlets has been a bit tough, with live bait producing the best due to the very clear water. Flounder and Pompano have been fairly easy to come by though. Inshore, the warmer temps have activated the Snook as well as some smaller Tarpon, taking soft plastics as well as twitch baits such as Mirrodines and Yo-Zuri 3D Minnows. Redfish have also been common, falling mostly for soft plastics. Good luck out there, and stay safe.
