Good Morning,
The Offshore fishing looks to be blown out this weekend but early next week we’re looking at some beautiful weather to get out there and catch some Sailfish, Blackfin and a few Mahi. The fishing has been decent out there this week for the boats that have gotten out, Sail fishing hasn’t been on fire but there are still plenty being caught. We have a full moon this weekend so Wahoo fishing should be great this week and next. High speed trolling will be your best bet but slow trolling a large Ballyhoo on wire will also do the trick. There have been reports on some blackfin being caught and we should have some better reports as the weather calms down next week.
Today is the opening of Snook Season! The Snook should be chewing with this cold front that is coming through tonight, Flair hawks and big swimbaits being thrown on the bridges in both Ft. Pierce and Stuart should produce slot Snook and overs. Good luck to everyone fishing the 2020 Snook Challenge benefiting our friend Kyle Vericella. Sheepshead, Pompano, and Croaker fishing has still been on fire. Live shrimp on the bridge pilings, docks, and the inlet in Stuart have produced nice Sheepshead, Croakers and snapper all week. On Sailfish flats the Pompano have been thick along with the surrounding channels.
Weather:
A strong cold front will cross the area today, increasing rain chances and causing hazardous boating conditions this evening into Sunday. High pressure will move east from the Gulf of Mexico Sunday and across central Florida and the adjacent waters Monday resulting in decreasing winds and subsiding seas.
.GULF STREAM HAZARDS…West to Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots this afternoon south of Sebastian Inlet. Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots tonight over the offshore waters with seas building to 8 feet.
