Good Morning,

The Tarpon bite has been great in both the St Lucie and Indian River. Live mullet bump trolled In the St Lucie has been working really well for the 80-120lb range, fly anglers have been catching smaller Tarpon on Gurglers and Tan Muddlers all throughout the river. Snook fishing has still been on fire along the seawalls in the St Lucie and in the Indian River all the way to the power plant. There have still been plenty of pods of Mullet around from fingers all the way to big Silvers so finding bait hasn’t been an issue. Redfish are still being caught on the Stuart Causeway on cut bait and along the docks in the Indian River on finger mullet and live Shrimp.

The weather offshore the past few days hasn’t been that great and it doesn’t look to get any better until early next week so there hasn’t been much to report.

Weather:

A ridge will build into the local area from the northeast today, causing choppy seas into the weekend. A moderate to fresh onshore breeze will continue into tonight, with winds veeriung more southerly early Saturday. Conditions will gradually improve from late Saturday through Sunday as winds veer more southerly.

Tonight

East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet with a dominant period 7 seconds. Choppy on the intracoastal waters. Chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms.

Saturday

Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots diminishing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 5 feet with a dominant period 6 seconds. Choppy on the intracoastal waters. Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms.

Saturday Night

South winds 10 knots becoming southwest 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Seas 3 to 4 feet. Mostly smooth on the intracoastal waters. Chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms.

Sunday

Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 feet. A light chop on the intracoastal waters. Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms.
