The Snook fishing in Stuart has been great the past week. There have been some small pods of Mullet in both the St. Lucie and Indian River. During the day larger mullet fished along the seawalls will produce big Snook and Jacks. At night the bridges have been producing the best. A finger mullet fished along the fenders, pilings and shadow lines will catch you big Snook and Tarpon. there have also been some good sized Redfish mixed in with the Snook. Fishing the mullet pods nears the flats with a live finger mullet, topwater plug, or DOA bait buster will get you the bite.
Offshore reports have been slow with a few Mahi and a Sailfish here and there. Its going to be blowing this weekend so I don’t expect any reports until mid next week.
Weather: High pressure will continue to build across the eastern coastal states then move off the Carolina coast this weekend. A weak trailing ridge axis will remain just north of the waters early next week. We do have a full moon this weekend so Wahoo fishing should be good if you can get out there, Next week when the seas calm down it should be good as well.
