It looks like we’ve got a few days respite from the strong winds that have kept everyone from going offshore and fishing the surf. With the surf calming and clearing over the next few days, look for the in progress mullet run to produce Snook, Tarpon, and others. DOA Bait Busters, Hogy Paddle Tails, and plugs should all produce. In the IRL, Snook and baby Tarpon continue to be the best bets, with higher water levels making sight fishing a bit tough, but also activating culvert outflows where fish have been concentrating. Small soft plastics and plugs, as well as flies have been productive. Trout have also been active along drop offs and on the flats early, particularly where cleaner water can be found. Good luck out there!
