Good Morning,
This full moon has the Wahoo bite turned on. Early morning and late evening have been the best time to get the bite, High speed trolling has still produced the best. There are still plenty of Sailfish around with Mahi, Blackfins and Kingfish mixed in. Bottom fishing has still been great this week, there have been reports that the water has been cooler on the beach this morning. Not sure if this cool upwelling will turn the Snapper bite off on the reefs but we’ll find out this weekend.
The Minnows on the beach seem to be here one day and gone another leaving most anglers confused. Your best bet on finding them is to check each Beach until you see them. When you do find them there have been plenty of Snook and Tarpon to go around. Mullet pods have been starting to show up more and more, should lead to a fantastic mullet run very soon. Snook fishing at the Ft Pierce inlet has been great this week. There have also been some Tarpon on the bridges in Stuart at night, Live Mullet has worked the best but Hogy Paddle tails have been catching both Snook and Tarpon.
Weather:
The axis of the Atlantic high pressure ridge will remain south of the local waters through Saturday before lifting slowly northward across the area Sunday, and north of the area early next week. Winds will generally remain out of the southwest through Saturday, then become southeast from Sunday through early next week. Scattered to numerous storms will push offshore through Saturday with threat decreasing thereafter. A weak inverted trough will then northwest across central Florida late Monday and Tuesday with coverage of showers and storms expected to increase.
