Good Morning,
Offshore:
The offshore bite has been decent this past week. Many reports of Blackfin, Mahi, and Sailfish being caught. 200-300ft out of Stuart seems to be the magic number. Trolling small Ballyhoo has been the best bet to get the bite. Kingfish have been steady on the near shore reefs, Many big fish some weighing 30lbs or more. There have still been a few Cobia around but they seem to be there one day and gone the next. It’s going to kick up this weekend but Memorial day looks like a good morning to get offshore.
Inshore:
There have been more than enough big Jacks cruising the beach, big poppers, divers, live Mullet and Pilchards will get you the bite. The Snook have started moving out to the Inlet and Beach, live Pilchards are your best bet but fly and small artificial lures will also produce. There have been a few Tarpon in the St Lucie but they seem to have moved around, You can find them scattered throughout the South Fork.
