Good Morning,
The near shore Tarpon bite has been great the past week out of Ft. Pierce and Stuart. The fish have been schooled from 15ft – 30ft off the beach. Hogy Protail lures have been the go too bait, The 6.5″ in 3oz and 5.5″ 2oz in Black or Olive have been the best size’s and colors. Live crabs have gotten the bite as well.
There haven’t been too many reports of Sailfish but most boats have reported raising one or two fish and catching at least 1 Sail each outing.
The inshore Redfish bite has been stellar from North bridge all the way up to Vero. The east side has been producing the best but there have been some bigger Reds on the West side past Harbor Branch. There have been more than a fair share of slot snook mixed in as well. The bigger Snook have been sitting on the Sand flats of the spoil islands in Ft Pierce. Pearl gulp shrimp have seemed to work the best, but we’re sure any properly placed lure will get the bite.
