Good morning,
Tarpon fishing on the beach has been phenomenal the past few weeks. Many anglers have been catching fish anywhere from 30lb – 130lb on fly and spin gear. Small glass minnow like flies and lures will work best but there have been a few mullet pushing through so don’t shy away from a bigger bait! There have plenty of Snook to go around as well. Bathtub beach has been a hot spot for some quality fish.
Red Snapper season just came to a close, many anglers got on a hot bite the past 2 weekends. There was a slight cold water upwelling this weekend that slowed things down. There hasn’t been much else to report offshore, Mahi and Sailfish bite has been slow. The Wahoo fishing should get good the next few weeks on this full moon.
: The Atlantic ridge axis will drift from central to south Florida through late week, resulting in a light to gentle south to southwest breeze. Outside of offshore moving storms, winds and seas will remain benign. Deepening, but light onshore flow returns this weekend.
