Good Morning,

Offshore:

Fishing was good this weekend, Most of the Mahi caught were in 200ft of water out of Ft. Pierce and Stuart. Trolling medium naked Ballyhoo or ballyhoo with Flash witches or chugger heads will work. The reefs in 80ft produced a few nice Kingfish and we heard a few reports of nice Amberjack as well. This week looks great to get on some early morning Cobia action. We will have more reports as the week goes on.\

Inshore:

The Inshore bite was good in Vero with many over slot Snook cruising the flats. These fish will eat an artificial lure but the best bet is live pilchards. The west side of the river south of midway has been productive lately as well, Snook from 27″-36″ have been common with a few Gator Trout in the mix. Topwater in the morning will get the bite then switching to a Shad tail or Shrimp lure as things heat up. There has been some Tarpon on the beach and in the crossroads in Stuart, live Pilchards and Mullet will work but patience is key.

Seminar Series:

Christina Weber will be in the Stuart shop next Monday, May 15th at 6pm. If you are interested on booking a trip to Los Buzos Panama to Kayak fish for big Rooster Fish and nice Tuna or just want to learn how to land offshore fish from a kayak stop on in. It will be a great time and you won’t want to miss it!

Synopsis: HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS THE CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO WILL EXPAND TOWARD EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA INTO MID WEEK. THE RIDGE AXIS WILL SHIFT SOUTH OF THE AREA INTO LATE WEEK WITH OFFSHORE FLOW DEVELOPING. SEAS WILL CONTINUE TO SUBSIDE WITH GENERALLY GOOD BOATING CONDITIONS EXPECTED INTO LATE WEEK.
