Good Morning,
As we enter the first day of March we can only hope the offshore fishing gets better. Today and Tomorrow (Thursday) seem to be the best shot at getting offshore before the winds pick up this weekend. There have been a few reports of smaller Dolphin Showing up in about 180ft and other than that it has been quiet. At the shop we are gearing up for the Spring Mahi run so keep an eye out at the shop for custom ballyhoo rigs and Mahi lures!
The Inshore fishing has still been productive for many people. The daytime Snook fishing around the docks in Stuart with live Pilchards has been one of the best ways to catch a bunch of fish. Seawall fishing has still been great in the North and South Fork of the St Lucie river, Big Jacks and Big Snook are sill around. Live mullet will be the bait of choice but these fish will also eat Top water lures and DOA silver mullet shad tails in 3′” and 4″. From FT. Pierce to Vero Redfish and big trout have been caught along the East shore as well as the spoil islands. Live shrimp, Electric Chicken shad tails on a 1/8oz jig head and topwater plugs in the morning will do the trick!
