Inshore – there are a lot of trout and redfish in the river right now, reports of anglers seeing 10-12 trout over 4 pounds have been very consistent. The areas such as the power plant and bear point have been holding some of those redfish and trout. In the river there is also a lot of sheepshead around the channel markers and on the flats. The snook bite in the inlet has been slow. The water has been so clean that you need live bait to catch them.
Offshore – The bite has been very slow. There are some kingfish around to the north of the inlet. The trolling bite has been slow but you may find a scattered dolphin or two around. There have also been reports of a sailfish or two being caught as well. The water has been very clear out on the beach. If you like to lobster dive this weekend would be a great opportunity to do that. There have been a lot of big bugs being caught out of Fort Pierce.
