We hope that everyone had a fun and safe mini season.
Offshore the bite on the bottom has slowed down a lot due to the cold water temperatures. The bottom was 49 degrees in 80 foot of water yesterday straight out of Fort Pierce. Some dolphin were caught in 60 – 90 foot of water. A few kingfish and cobia were caught but, they were scattered. Live bait is available at both the 10A and 12A buoy. Mostly sardines and small jacks. The best method is to troll live baits and cover as much water as you can.
Inshore the fishing has been decent. There has been a good Snook bite as well as Redfish at night. There are still some tarpon and Snook around the beach and jetty on the incoming tide. Trout fishing has been productive if you can get out before the heat sets in.
