Good Morning!!! Fishing was great over the weekend, with reports coming in for both inshore and offshore!!! Inshore the pompano have been caught around the sailfish flats using capt. joes jigs and pompano jigs from gulfstream. Trout and some redfish have been caught up around the power plant and snook have been caught on the incoming tide around Jensen and Stuart causeways. Surf fishing was very productive with whiting, a few pompano, and bonefish being caught around hobe sound and jensen beaches. Cobia remain on the beach along with schools of jack and tarpon. There were allot of spinner sharks taking flight yesterday in the 20-30 ft depths off the beach. Offshore the sail bite was kinda slow but there were a bunch of kingfish caught in the 60-90 ft range. Congratulation to the follow kids and parents who participated in the TCC Surf fishing tournament held over the weekend. There 15 different species caught in all. In the middle school division Jake Castlow of LPA took top honors and biggest fish, Scott Smith of Forest grove took second. In the high division Maxwell Higgins of Treasure Coast High to first place as did Bill Kidd for the parents division. Thanks to all that came out for that event. Till next time good luck and tight lines!!! JW
