Good Morning! Fishing offshore has slowed down a little with the lack of current. Anglers are finding little to no movement on the bottom all the way out to 190 ft with just handfuls of black seabass being caught. On the surface however the sail bite remains steady with captains reporting 3-5 opportunities a day. Yesterday a few gaffer sized dolphin were caught, try trolling ballyhoo more than live bait drifting when conditions are slow the way they are. Look for any signs of life like flying fish, diving birds, or bait holding on to the sargassum, it could just to that slow day into a memorable one. Inshore anglers are batlling the on going mullet run for snook up against seawalls and docks. Hook a livie in the tail to help direct him to the strike zone. Trout and Redfish have been reported up toward little mud creek and on the west bank near county line and walton rd. The mackerel and bluefish have shown up early this year so grab a gotcha lure or spoon with a light spin outfit for constant action along the beach and around the inlets. Remember tonight we are holding a free fishing seminar in Stuart with Capt. Mike Holliday, a true expert in this region having guided and fished these waters for over 30 years. Seminar starts a 6pm, but get here early as seating is limited! Till next time good luck and tight lines!!! JW
