Good morning, the news from offshore still indicates a few dolphin, kingfish and sailfish can be found scattered across our coast. Bottom fishing remains good for grouper, snapper and amberjack over our area reefs and wrecks. Christian Springsteen reported via Facebook, 3 released blue marlin to 400# on board the vessel Zues at Crooked Island, Bahamas. Mangrove snapper have been found in 80' over the reefs and are taking live bait. A few tarpon can be found a long the beaches and will take a live pilchard, greenie or mullet.
Inshore, the catch and release action for snook in the Ft. Pierce inlet has been good for anglers using live bait and jigs. Mangrove snapper are beginning to populate the inlet and channel edges and will easily take a live shrimp. Tarpon are filtering into the inlet as well and will take a live bait. Trout fishing is good early in the day and will take a live pigfish, top water lure and soft plastics.
