Good morning, strong easterly winds will again keep most boats in port today. The forecast for the next few days is encouraging and you will most likely find some scattered dolphin, kingfish, a sailfish or two and some bottom dwellers. Brandon Langel and Vince Randolph braved rough sea conditions yesterday to try a dive trip offshore. They reported poor visibility and very "sharky" conditions. The sharks were there because the reefs were loaded with fish.
Inshore, trout fishing was reported from an unknown angler as good around Bear Point on soft plastics yesterday. Snook fishing from the south jetty has been good after sunset on live bait and flare hawks. Wade fisherman have had success on the west side of the lagoon south around the power lines south of Midway road.
