good morning, blame on the full moon or strong offshore currents, fishing was a little on the slow side in our coastal waters over the weekend. scattered dolphin and kingfish were in the mix as well as amberjack. Bottom fishing was slow due to the strong currents. Reports of bait along our beaches included greenies and pilchards and plenty of mullet in our inlet.
Inshore, snook fishing was a little on the slow side overnight. Some snook were caught around area bridges on live bait. The south jetty produced a few snook over the week end and a few snapper. Live shrimp was the bait of choice around the catwalk on the south bridge in Ft. Pierce. Waders were finding a few trout on the west side of the lagoon around the docks along Indian River Drive.
Now back in stock Cotee Chubby Grubs.
Have a great day, Donald.
