Good morning, reports from offshore at the end of last week indicated some good dolphin fishing could be found along with some cobia. David Recor reported catching 3 dolphin to 30# in 120' southeast of Ft. Pierce on Saturday. Bill Theiss caught several dolphin to 25# in 200' straight off of Ft. Pierce. George Hogan fished over on the corner and reported catching a number of wahoo on artificial lures on Friday. Cobia are over area reefs, wrecks and buoys. You want to keep a rod rigged with a bright colored jig ready, so when the moment arrives you can toss one to either a single or a group of cobia.
Inshore, tarpon were reported at the discharge of the nuclear power plant. Snook fishing over Saturday and Sunday slowed a little, but some were reported in the turning basin and along the south side of the inlet. The catwalk has been producing bluefish, margate and big numbers of sheepshead on live or cut shrimp.
