Good morning, not much to report from offshore over the last few days. The cobia hunters came up blank yesterday with very few reported. We have heard of some good swordfish activity over the last few nights. Kingfish over the reefs has been steady and few dolphin and bonito have been reported in 80'-150'.
Inshore, the main talk has centered around the pompano and jacks in the inlet. Jiggers there have been reporting good numbers of smaller fish with a nice one caught every now and then. A few bluefish and snook have been reported from the south jetty at Ft. Pierce. Back in the turning basin and from the catwalk of the south bridge, reports of sandperch and black margate have been surfacing over the last few days. Trout fishing in the lagoon has been steady at various favorite spots and anglers are finding success on live shrimp and soft plastics.
We have just added a new line of snook and cobia jigs made by a local company called Buck Nasty Flare Hawks. Be sure to drop in and have a look and this awesome line of fish getters. Sorry this product will not be added to our online store as colors will vary and production is small. You can however call us at 772-461-6909 to find out current color inventory and order over the phone.
Have a great day, Donald.
