Good morning, sorry but I do not have much to report from offshore as the weather over the weekend was not good for fishing in the angry Atlantic. Look for some good sail fishing when this weather settles down. A number of captains and mates have been busy putting in their orders for the coming sailfish tournaments and it looks like the competition for those tournaments will be energized like it is most years.
Inshore, reports of flounder catches have been springing up from the lagoon and the south jetty. Cut or live shrimp have been the bait of choice for the flounder, but some of the door mat sized flounder will take a finger mullet. Snook fishing has been a little on the slow side, blame it on all the nasty water conditions. Forecasters are predicting better weather ahead so look for our normal fall fishing pattern to resume.
Have a great day, Donald.
