Good morning, offshore fishing was a little on the slow side over the week end. A few scattered dolphin and kingfish were caught mostly on live bait and trolled bally-hoo. Most of the anglers fishing in the SKA kingfish tournament ran down to the south around Jupiter and West Palm Beach to find cleaner water conditions. The water off the Ft. Pierce inlet remains on the dirty side and blue runners could be found around the 12 buoy.
Inshore, Snook fishing at the south jetty at Ft. Pierce inlet was good over the week end. Ft. Pierce’s mayor Bob Benton reported catching 5 snook early this morning on a bomber green back wind cheater. Kadri Benton reported a good day yesterday on the flats north of Ft. Pierce’s turning basin. He caught snook, trout and redfish all on artificial baits. A guest of Patrick Sebile of Sebile lures reported on Saturday to us, a catch of 20 snook all on various Sebile lures on Friday night.
Have a great day, Donald.
