Good morning, scattered dolphin, kingfish and sailfish have been the reports we are hearing over the last couple of days. Larry Jones reported catching 2 cobia to 50 Lbs. near the power plant on live crabs. Cobia have also been reported in 45′-60′ and have been caught on jigs. Near shore the snook, tarpon and sharks are working the bait pods early and late in the day along the beaches. Glass minnows have actually been pushed up on the beach by the snook chasing after them.
Inshore, there are trout and jacks cruising the flats and they are taking DOA and gulp baits. You will want to get to them early before it gets to hot and water temperatures have been hanging around 76 degrees. With the water in the lagoon as clear as crystal, try using fluoro-carbon leader material it can make a difference.
Have a good day, Kadri.
