Good morning, most boats exiting the Ft. Pierce inlet yesterday were carrying divers and snorkelers in search of those spiny critters on the bottom. They were treated to warmer water temperatures around 76 degrees. Brandon Langel reported a catch of lobsters and grouper off the bottom in 60 feet of water. Today is round 2 of the mini season for lobster, we will report back to you on the results for both fishing and the diving from today. Tarpon have been cruising the the beach and can be found in the Ft. Pierce inlet and are usually very active at sunset through the early evening.
Inshore, one angler reported a good catch of trout yesterday south of the power lines from the St. Lucie Nuclear facility. He was using soft plastics by Gulp and DOA in both the new penny and glow colors.
Have a good day, Kadri.
